Camping With Nazis

This week I am going camping with the Nazis in Yosemite. We booked this trip back in like February or some crap because Yosemite sells out in 30 minutes.

Why Nazis? Because I have been camping with them before and I KNOW what they are. As soon as they roll out their tent they get all crazy controlling and our campsite becomes their fascist regime. I've almost blocked out the memory of going camping in Joshua Tree with them, but I know there was some yelling because I was making hot dogs wrong (how do you make hot dogs wrong?) and I learned I had the WRONG tent stakes. I swore I would never go camping alone with them again. I told my husband NEVER AGAIN!!! Not without my husband and other movie-ish titles. I swore on it. And I meant it.

We booked the trip with campsites slightly a part to ease our suffering. And then my husbands work started doing the FREE LIPOSUCTION that I am not aloud to have. And they said he had to be there on surgery days. So he bailed on me. And all the tent-fire-cooking-driving is on me. Ugh.

And now I will be alone with camping Nazis. In fact I have already received several phone calls instructing me on what inner tube/raft I must purchase at Big 5, where the jiffy pop is sold (because camping apparently CANNOT occur with out jiffy pop), and was asked to call back so we can go over our route. Go over our route? And shouts in the background of: Bring a back pack, does she have a back pack? Get the raft, you told her about the raft? I drew the line at air guns. I don't even know what they are but my girls are not playing with air guns. I am totally a tree hugging liberal, and no guns is filed under that right? I was also told of all the hikes we are doing. Um, yeah. I camp to lounge around an eat. 90 degree hiking is not for me. Our site is next to the river and that's where I plan to be.

Wow, what a complainer, huh? I'm actually looking forward most to picking up Elisabeth from her Dad's. I haven't seen her since June. I am also looking forward to lots of photos. And food. Okay I better go running today. And maybe a hike wouldn't hurt.

Mostly I will miss my husband. I get back on Sat and Sunday is our Anniversary!!!

OMG, I don't envy you. That's sooooo not fun at all.

Glad you get the girl back. I wonder if she's happy to be a big sister AGAIN?
